The Occupational Employment Statistics
(OES) Wage Data
The 2009 wage data published on this
site
are possible due to thousands of Nevada
businesses who responded to the OES Wage
data request from the Department of
Employment, Training and
Rehabilitation's Research and Analysis
Bureau.
The data collected for the OES program
provides valuable input for wage
comparisons and for identifying trends
in emerging or declining occupations --
precisely the kind of information
needed by employers as well as those who
are choosing or changing careers.
The OES Program
OES data is collected on a semi-annual
basis, consisting of a fall and spring
survey. The fall survey will run from
November through June of the following
year. The spring survey will run from
May through December. The program is
operated in cooperation with U.S.
Department of Labor.
During each survey cycle, the data
collection forms are mailed to selected
employers throughout the state. If your
company receives the data request,
realize that the level of detail that
we will be able to provide from this
survey will depend on the cooperation
received from the Nevada business
community. Wage data are published
for specific areas and/or industries
only if there are enough responses to
ensure both the reliability of the data
and the confidentiality of the
respondents. |
