The Employment Security Division (ESD) provides comprehensive employment and training services to Nevada businesses and workers. Employment Service programs offer job placement and training opportunities that assist businesses in meeting their employment needs and job seekers in returning to work through the state’s workforce investment system, Nevada JobConnect.
    Available services for businesses include labor market information, recruitment assistance, foreign labor certification, tax credit certification, training incentives, and job fairs that help expand employer-recruiting efforts. Job seeker services include job referral, career guidance, and skill enhancement training.



Your current Unemployment Insurance debit card is being replaced with a new card from Bank of America. Your unemployment benefits will be automatically deposited to your new card beginning January 3, 2017


·         Activate your new card immediately.

• Continue to use your current Unemployment Debit Card until the balance is gone. You are encouraged to use all funds by January 31, 2017.

• Destroy the old card and begin using your new card to make purchases, pay bills, and access cash everywhere Debit MasterCard® is accepted.

• Please remember changes to your address, telephone number or name must always be updated with the State of Nevada Employment Security office. You can do this online at or by calling 702.486.0350, 775.684.0350 or toll free at 1.888.890.8211. After the address has been changed with the Unemployment Claims Center, the address with the Nevada Debit Card program will automatically be updated the following day.
