Career
Enhancement Program (CEP)
CEP Offers Unemployed Nevadans Enhanced
Employment Futures.
CEP serves Nevada employers
by building a stronger, more skilled work force by placing unemployed
Nevadans into training and re-training situations increasing their
employability.
CEP offers basic academic,
vocational and on-the-job training to help unemployed Nevadans gain
necessary skills to meet the demands of today's changing labor market.
The program offers employers the opportunity to enhance their work force
with qualified, competent employees -- trained to the employer's unique
needs.
Employers participating in the Career Enhancement Program benefit in
several ways.
-
Employers providing on-the-job training opportunities to CEP clients
receive financial assistance to help defray training costs for each
full-time trainee who successfully completes their individual
training program. Training cost incentives help employers, while CEP
trainees gain valuable job training, and the promise of full-time
employment upon completion of training contracts.
-
CEP
representatives refer on-the-job training applicants for your
consideration so the employee is trained your way.
-
CEP
representatives do most of the paperwork, to ease the use of the
program for employers, so there is little or no red tape.
-
CEP
participants tend to collect Unemployment Insurance benefits for a
shorter duration.
